Australia’s Song for the Mute has shown off their next collection with adidas, marking their eighth collaboration with the Three Stripes. The project features their tenth and eleventh silhouettes, the Samba and SL72 Pro, coming this Fall.
Song for the Mute is an Australian-founded brand, started by Melvin Tanaya and Lyna Ty in 2010. The name is a nod to their intention to give a voice to the voiceless, and their main goal is to create clothing that tells stories of their personal experiences and interactions with people, materials, and sounds. Each season is purposefully crafted to look distinctly different from the last, from colors to textiles and more. This week, the label returned to Paris Fashion Week, once again giving us an early look at what to expect from their adidas partnership during the FW26 season.
The SFTM x adidas series is coming up on its eighth collection this year, since their first team up back in 2021. In that time, the Australian label has had the opportunity to work on a number of Three Stripes silhouettes from obscure cult classics like the Taekwondo to outright icons like the Superstar. For their Fall/Winter ’26 series, they’re doing a little of both. The first shoe teased was the Samba, presented in a deconstructed look with collapsible heels, and dressed in three colors of exquisite leather; black, brown, and green. The second model for this year is the SL72 Pro, a newly updated version of the 1972 runner we’ve never seen before. This fresh take on the model retains the classic look of the upper, but appears to mount it on a newer performance midsole, borrowed from silhouettes like the Evo running shoe. This silhouette will also come in three colors, tonal brown and white, as well as a lush blue color scheme.

The next seasonal offering from Song for the Mute and adidas does not have a release date yet, but will arrive alongside their Fall/Winter 2026 line later this year. The new offerings include a deconstructed take on the Samba in three colors, as well as the SL72 Pro, an update to the retro runner, also in three colors. Pairs will be available from both partners as well as select retailers, no other information is available yet.
