adidas Consortium’s special-edition releases have a tendency to draw crowds due to their elevated construction and limited numbers. This week, the Three Stripes top-tier division returns to team up with Solebox, presenting the Torsion TRDC in a new “Scallop” colorway.
Berlin’s Solebox has helped to create and deliver some of adidas Consortium’s most memorable releases, most recently with the fan-favorite Uncaged Ultraboost, as well as the highly sought-after Yung-1. Now, the two longtime partners are back with their latest release, the Torsion TRDC “Scallop”. Directly inspired by scallop shells and the colors they share, the new release from Solebox packs plenty of details into the silhouette. The look begins with a white mesh base layer, reinforced by the TRDC’s jagged overlays, made from plain white leather. The silhouette’s signature Three Stripes come in neon green, matching other colorful accents wrapping around the heel. The rear heel tab and inner lining come in bright orange, matching the rubber outsole as well. Finally, dual-branded Solebox and adidas branding completes the look.

The latest project from adidas Consortium partner Solebox, featuring the retro Torsion TRDC, has been announced for release next week, on July 7th, 2020. The oceanic-inspired “Scallop” colorway will be available from Solebox for approximately $160, with no wider release announced as of writing.
