United Kingdom retailer size? is continuing their archival collaborations with adidas this month. This time around, the two are celebrating the Three Stripes history of marathon shoes with a sandy-colored ZX500, paying tribute to Jordan’s Wabi Rum marathon.
adidas has been making shoes for marathon runners for decades now, with many named after the race or country they were designed for. Some of these shoes are more famous than others, like the Boston, Stockholm, or Berlin. It is with those models in mind that the United Kingdom’s size? has crafted their latest adidas Originals archival release, paying homage to great silhouettes crafted for important races. Using the ZX500, a pivotal marathon shoe, as their canvas, the focus of the project will be Jordan’s Wabi Rum race, one that winds through Jordan’s tombs and caves across 260km in 5 days. The colorway is reminiscent of a run through the Jordanian desert, with a sandy mesh base layer reinforced by light brown suede overlays, orange accents on the stripesand heel counter, and striking neon green hits for the lacing system, pull tabs, and heel clip.

The latest archival release from UK retailer size? and adidas Originals is scheduled to drop later this week, on November 8th, 2019. The special-edition ZX500 honoring Jordan’s Wadi Rum marathon will likely run for an elevated retail price, and will be exclusively available through size?’s Previews app and website.
