London-based retailer size? has dropped their latest store exclusive sneaker, teaming up with adidas to craft two pairs of the Handball Spezial inspired by football boots from the ’90s, available now.
size? has a storied history of releasing exclusive collaborative projects. The UK-based chain of retail stores often teases their own releases months ahead of time, (we’re still waiting on their “Bacon” NB 860v2) building hype for their special projects. Only ever available through their official channels, size?’s projects are simple, but often tell stories of fashion trends from the UK over the decades. This week’s release, a two-pack of Handball Spezial colors from adidas, are inspired by pre-millenial football boots, if you couldn’t tell from the elongated tongues. The first pair sports a dark brown suede upper with tan stripes and heel counters, while the second uses an off-white shade across its upper, adding pale green as its accent color. Both pairs feature a gum sole to complete the look.
