The revival of adidas’ City Series is set to continue this month, with the Three Stripes partner for the ongoing series, UK retailer size? once again taking the lead on storytelling for this release. Featuring the South African city of Johanessburg, this pair of terrace trainers will mark the final entry in the Anniversary City Series, rounding out the six-shoe project with a dipped-in-gold take on the timeless trainer silhouette. Inspired by the “City of Gold” nickname given to Joburg upon discovery of the tons hidden under its streets in 1886, this pair adds silver metallic elements to the heel tabs and Stripes, while gold foil Joburg and numbered branding complete the look.
