PUMA Unveils the Latest Addition to their Rapidly Evolving Running System Franchise, the RS-2K

This week, PUMA has unveiled the next silhouette in its recently revived Running System franchise. Titled the RS-2K, the latest new shoe takes the original Running System design of the ’90s and adds plenty of Y2K-era flair.

PUMA’s Running System franchise has evolved dramatically since its reintroduction to the brand’s arsenal last year, introducing a handful of silhouettes in that time. Among them are some of PUMA’s most popular lifestyle models, like the recent RS-8 and RS-X3. Now, with Summer approaching, the PUMA team has another new look to add to their growing arsenal, this time inspired by the 2000s, briding the design eras of the original Running System and its modern-day counterparts. The RS-2K features a mesh, suede, and leather construction, with each layer offering up plenty of shape and form to give the silhouette a fluid, wavy look. Constant switching of the colors provides a nice layering effect, showing off all the shades of blue and green used on the shoe.
