The Converse Chuck Taylor was everywhere in 2019, from artist collaborations with Josh Vides and Chinatown Market to heading up the brand’s sustainability program. Now, the classic Chuck gets a Primaloft makeover for Winter.
The Converse Chuck Taylor has remained dominant in the sneaker world the past few years, despite trends leaning away from simple color schemes and general minimalism. As always, the Chuck has thrived, and will continue to throughout 2020. This week brings us our first major release for the classic basketball sneaker this year, one that sees the usual canvas upper swapped out for something a little more weather-proof. For this two-pack of Chuck 70 HIs, the outer layer of the upper is constructed from durable Ripstop nylon, which protects a layer of warm, insulating Primaloft on the inside. Both shoes are mounted on top of a white and gum rubber midsole, and will be avialable in two colorways, Rose Maroon an Royal Blue, each featuring a darker heel before the color fades to the toe.
