Pharrell Williams and adidas are constantly adding to their lineup of Hu footwear. This month, we have our first great look at the Solar Glide, a new Three Stripes runner with the Hu line’s colorful twist.
The Pharrell Williams x adidas line of footwear is expanding once more. After our first initial look at the Pharrell x adidas Solar Glide Hu earlier this month, a second colorway of the sleek new runner has surfaced online. adidas’ Solar family was first released back in 2015 as a comfortable alternative to the more high-end running shoes from the brand. Now, the Three Stripes is redesigning their past model in several new constructions, alongside a Pharrell Williams cosign.
The second colorway of the adidas Solar Glide Hu to surface online features a much darker look than the first. This time around, the knit upper is swatched almost entirely black, with small hints of color around the heels. The TPU plastic heel cage is painted in a matte blue tone, contrasting the inner yellow lining of the shoe. Two tags bridge the space between these two, one in green featuring the Hu logo and another in plain red. The exposed eyelets used for support come in white, holding in white laces with 3M woven in. Finally, the new Pharrell x adidas Solar Glide Hu is finished off with a plain white Boost midsole, and a baby blue torsion bar for support.
The new Pharrell x adidas Solar Glide Hu has not been announced for release, however, given the fact that pairs are appearing online, we can expect them in stores soon. The sleek new runner will likely be one of the cheaper entries in Williams’ Hu line, though this remains to be seen.
