Last week, Bad Bunny and adidas announced a new partnership with Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team, bringing Formula 1 to Puerto Rico for the first time ever. Now, the three have unveiled a capsule collection, featuring a unique pair of the AdiRacer GT.

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of exciting news about Bad Bunny. First, the Puerto Rican musician kicked off his residency concert series in PR, which will run 30 shows until mid-September. Then, last week, he announced a new partnership with Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1, helping to bring Formula 1 to PR for the first time in history. In the same announcement, Benito teased a new adidas sneaker, and announced a three-way collaboration between himself, adidas, and Mercedes.

Over the weekend, while the Mercedes AMG car was making history on a drive around PR, adidas hosted a special exhibition at the country’s art museum. Dubbed The Archive, the exhibit showed off over 150 prior and upcoming Bad Bunny x adidas releases, as well as dozens of sample pairs. Among them was our first look at the project including Mercedes, showing off a brand new style of the AdiRacer GT. This is the same sneaker BB was spotted wearing last week, but this pair has been heavily reworked to resemble actual F1 drivers’ shoes. The new look adds a plastic outer shell for support, a smooth suede commonly seen in drivers’ shoes, and special branding down the toes that boasts both AMG and Bad Bunny branding.

BAD BUNNY X MERCEDES X ADIDAS ADIRACER GT RELEASE INFORMATION

The new collaboration between Bad Bunny, Mercedes F1, and adidas has not been given a set release date yet. The collection could very likely arrive in 2025, but there is no information regarding this yet. Featuring a modified version of the new AdiRacer GT, pairs will likely be available through adidas and select retailers. Check back soon for any further updates.

WTAPS Presents a “Blue Green” Take on the New Balance 2010

Japanese clothing brand WTAPS has been producing excellent, military-inspired goods since 1996. In that time they’ve built a rabid cult following, and produced some incredible collaborations. This week, we have a first look at their take on the New Balance 2010, coming soon.

Since 2020, Japanese streetwear label WTAPS and New Balance have built a tight, hype-fueled partnership that elevates understated silhouettes with premium details. Their collabs kicked off with the 992, then flowed into the 990v2, 990v6, and most recently the Made in USA 998. WTAPS leans into neutral tones—grey, olive, tan—with materials like suede, mesh, and pigskin; branding stays subtle, often swapping USA flags for their “Visual Uparmored” branding. These releases are limited, and typically only available through stores that stock wares from both partners.

WTAPS and New Balance are so close to releasing a new project each year. Since their initial team-up in 2020, they’ve only taken one year off in 2022, but the upcoming release has them right back on schedule. This time around, the Japanese label is issuing their version of the 2010, a brand new silhouette for 2025. The model blends New Balance’s iconic retro style with modern sensibilities, and WTAPS has lent their signature green shades for this release. The shoe’s base layers come in flat light grey tones, while the smooth nubuck outer panels are colored in a shade described as “Blue Green” on the packaging. Lime green accents appear in the heel’s Abzorb cushioning. Finally, WTVUA branding on the heels completes the look.

WTAPS X NEW BALANCE 2010 RELEASE INFORMATION

The next installment in the relationship between WTAPS and New Balance has not been announced yet, but is tentatively expected to release in October 2025. Featuring the new 2010 silhouette for their next outing, the shoe comes in a “Blue Green” shade mixed with flat grey secondary tones and a lime green accent. Pairs will likely be available only through retailers who stock both brands. Pricing for this pair is currently unknown.

Another day, another Travis Scott sneaker sample. The Jordan Jumpman Jack is piling up releases, without a clear schedule for new pairs in sight. This week, the model has emerged in a “Michigan” blue and gold style. It is unclear if this pair will see a public release.

Travis Scott’s signature sneaker with Jordan, the Jumpman Jack (or CJ1 T-Rexx, who even knows,) has appeared in many sample styles since we first saw it two years ago. The bulk of these colorways have been spotted on the feet of Travis himself, but very few pairs have actually been made available to consumers. The shoe’s releases have been somewhat baffling so far, with only four colors having dropped as of this writing, despite a TS signature shoe likely being an easy source of cash for Nike and Jordan Brand. Nonetheless, another sample color scheme has emerged today.

The list of rumored releases for the Jumpman Jack keeps growing. This year along, we are still expecting drops for the Chase B collab, as well as Taupe Haze, Thunder Blue, and Olive color schemes. The last release was in April, and we’ve only had 1 Travis sneaker drop since then. Either way, here’s an early look at another color scheme for the silhouette. This pair sports the classic “Michigan” colors, combining a perforated leather base in gold with dark navy blue suede outer layers. The heel branding has been changed to feature a different TS or CJ logo, borrowed from Scott’s frequent use of similar imagery.

TRAVIS SCOTT X JORDAN JUMPMAN JACK “MICHIGAN” RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest pair of Travis Scott’s Jordan Jumpman Jack silhouette does not have any release information yet, but we hope to see this style hit shelves sometime soon. Likely a s color sample for now, the pair sports a subtle gold base layer with dark navy blue suede overlays and a matching sole unit. Should this pair release, it will likely come with a $200 price tag.

Undefeated and Nike still have more releases on the way this year. Celebrating the Air Max 95’s anniversary, the retailer has revived their ribbon-branded detailing from the AM97 for this release, which features a mix of materials in a simple black palette.

Undefeated and Nike are having quite a year together. Their Spiridon pack from early this year is quietly one of the best releases for the silhouette’s recent retro, and the return of their legendary Air Jordan 4 took over our feeds for the Summer. Their output over the last few years has been steady, with the two regularly releasing projects. The last five years alone have brought us numerous styles of the Dunk, Air Force, Air Max 90, Air Max 97, and the Terra Humara. This week, we have our first look at the UNDFTD take on the Air Max 95.

Rumors of an Undefeated release of the AM95 first appeared early this year, but they had not come to fruition until today. Supposedly coming in a handful of colorways this holiday season, the shoe pulls inspiration directly from their previous Air Max release, the 97. That shoe was released first at ComplexCon years ago, before becoming available to the masses in 2020. The look uses the 97’s layered lines to add unique Undefeated-branded ribbons, which reappear on this all-black pair of the Air Max 95. This look adds green and red accents to the inky color scheme, which even blacks out the Air bubbles underfoot.

UNDEFEATED X NIKE AIR MAX 95 “BLACK” RELEASE INFORMATION

The next project from Undefeated and Nike does not have an official release date yet, but is speculated to arrive during the Holiday 2025 season. Featuring the Air Max 95 with striped detailing borrowed from their previous AM97 release, the pair seen here features a black build with blacked out Air bubbles. Pairs will likely release from both partners, and is expected to go for $200.

Nike is still deep in their celebration of the Air Max 95 this year, marking thirty years of the iconic silhouette. Throughout the year they’ve rolled out plenty of releases both new and old. This season, the 1996 “Black Border” pair is making a return.

Nike brings back the cult classic Air Max 95 “Black Border” this Fall 2025 as part of the silhouette’s 30th anniversary lineup. Originally from 1996 and designed by Sergio Lozano, the Black Border stands out with its crisp white base, bold black overlays (hence the nickname), and emerald-jade accents on the tongue, mini Swooshes, and Air units. The 2025 update keeps the OG anatomy-inspired layered look but adds the “Big Bubble” heel unit for extra cushioning. It’s one of those rare colorways that was slept on, but now gets the spotlight it deserves.

NIKE AIR MAX 95 OG “BLACK BORDER” RELEASE INFORMATION

The next classic colorway of Nike’s Air Max 95 to release for the 30th anniversary has not been officially announced yet, but is coming in Fall 2025. The “Black Border” style with Hyper Jade accents gets the Big Bubble treatment, and will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $190.

Andrew Reynolds made his footwear debut this year, teaming up with New Balance’s Numeric skate division to release the 933. Inspired by some classic NB models, the shoe takes on a fresh “Mushroom” style, coming soon.

The Numeric 933 marks Andrew Reynolds’ first signature model with New Balance, blending his skate history with premium running-heritage DNA. It draws inspiration from the MADE in USA 993 and the 99x line, adopting layered suede, mesh, and nylon uppers. Reynolds focused on support & comfort by using ABZORB cushioning, a padded tongue, and NDurance rubber outsoles for grip and durability. He also seeded personal touches, like ten notches on the outsole for key life moments, a hand-drawn cloud on the heel by his daughter, and prototype codes beneath the insole. The 933 delivers performance for skating with style rooted in NB‘s legacy.

The latest colorway of the Andrew Reynolds signature is perhaps their best work yet, or our favorite at the very least. The new style calls back to New Balance’s unique color blocking pre-2020, when the brand was still on the rise in relation to larger sneaker culture. The new look combines tones of “Mushroom” brown, used for the silhouette’s forefoot overlays, with a “New Spruce” green. This tone makes up the mesh underlay, the N logos, and a shank panel on the lower midfoot. Hints of navy blue appear in the sole, and a dark brown leather heel counter completes the look.

NEW BALANCE NUMERIC 933 “MUSHROOM” RELEASE INFORMATION

The next edition of Andrew Reynolds signature shoe with New Balance, the 933, has not been officially announced yet, but is on the way soon for Fall 2025. The tasteful mix of brown and green hues with blue accents will be available through both NB and select retailers, and is expected to have the shoe’s base price of $130.

adidas’ return of the Handball Spezial last year has been a quiet success for the Three Stripes. This Summer, the brand is issuing a new Made in Germany edition of the classic trainer, starting with a Preloved Ink blue style.

The Handball Spezial is one of the best retro releases we’ve sene from adidas in years. The simple, iconic silhouette packs a ton of comfort into a deceptively slim package, using comfortable soft touch suedes and added arch supports in the insoles. The model has flown relatively under the radar since its return, with new colors and styles hitting shelves each season, with some special collaborations along the way. Now, the brand is kicking it up a notch with a new Made In__ edition.

The latest special release for the Handball Spezial takes the shoe through adidas’ Made in Germany program, a recent development which produces limited runs of iconic sneakers close to the brand’s home. Following in the footsteps of the Samba and Superstar, the Handball looks nearly identical to its standard-issue siblings, but comes packed with quality from materials to the stitching. The shoe comes in a “Preloved Ink” shade of blue suede for its debut, and will come in special Made In__ packaging with extra laces for a touch of customization.

ADIDAS HANDBALL SPEZIAL MADE IN GERMANY RELEASE INFORMATION

adidas’ new Made in Germany edition of their Handball Spezial does not have a set release date yet, but pairs have already started to pop up through adidas’ overseas platforms. Dressed in a Preloved Ink navy blue suede, the special-edition release will likely be available through both the Three Stripes and select retailers, and is expected to come with a $230 price tag.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Nike has pulled from a wide variety of sources for inspiration in sneaker design and special colorways. This season, they have a weird one line up. Check out the “Houseflies” edition of the Air Force 1 Low, coming soon.

Nike has released plenty of weird and wacky sneakers over the years, usually in eccentric colors and styles. Their penchant for taking inspiration from the obscure lives on and a forthcoming release of the Air Force 1 continues that tradition later this year. It is currently unclear what the exact story behind this release is, but the unquestionable attention to detail is certainly a strong statement from the Swoosh.

The pair in question is a “Houseflies” edition of the Air Force 1 Low. The new look begins with a triple white base shoe, one of the model’s most iconic looks. Across the upper, small, photorealistic depictions of houseflies have been embroidered on each panel. The decision to embroider these details instead of printing them is an interesting one, save for the flies on the soles. The look is completed with a modified lace dubrae, adding a cast metal housefly to the toes.

NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW “HOUSEFLIES” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s latest special release of their all-white Air Force 1 Low has not been announced yet but is expected Fall 2025. The look comes dressed in the classic triple white palette with an icy sole and embroidered houseflies. Pairs will likely be available from both Nike and select retailers for $130.

Nike is really pushing for collaborations on their Air Max Dn8 model, a shoe introduced back in March for Air Max Day. This week, the label Vaquera has unveiled their version of the silhouette, sporting bold red lipstick prints.

Vaquera is an NYC-based ready-to-wear brand founded in 2013 by Patric DiCaprio and Bryn Taubensee. The label blends “fashion fan fiction” aesthetics with DIY energy and theatrical flair through oversized proportions, mixed references from pop culture, and reinterpreted luxury tropes. Vaquera became known for its avant-garde collections, camp and grunge elements, gender-fluid designs, and playful details like mascot teddy bears and graphic accessories.

Vaquera is the latest brand to get a collaboration from Nike, highlighting the Air Max Dn8. The Swoosh appears to be really pushing this shoe for collabs, with projects from Cav Empt, Patta, Better Gift Shop, and more arriving over the last few months. Vaquera brings their signature style to the silhouette, beginning by dousing the runner in an all-white color palette. The shoe’s mesh underlay has been replaced by smooth leather, with glossy patent overlays for the toes and lacing system. On top of that, they’ve given the shoe a print pattern of bright red lipstick marks, with red Swooshes and clear Air bubbles to complete the look.

VAQUERA X NIKE AIR MAX DN8 RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest collaboration featuring Nike’s Air Max Dn8 sneaker has not been announced yet, but is expected to release soon in 2025. Featuring the brand Vaquera for their latest venture, the shoe takes on a crisp white color with red lipstick prints. Pairs will likely be available from both partners, and is expected to come with a $220 price tag.
