BAPE Applies Their Shooting Star to an adidas Samba Pack

BAPE and adidas are on a roll this year, with several releases already under their belts for 2025. This week, we have an official look at a new project, which brings the Japanese label’s Shooting Star branding to a two-piece Samba pack.

Streetwear brand BAPE has been an essential piece of both Japanese and American fashion culture since the brand launched in 1993. Ten years later, A Bathing Ape would team up with adidas for the first time, launching a historic partnership in the world of sneakers that continues on over twenty years later. Their main focus with adidas releases is typically the Three Stripes’ icons, terrace trainers like the Gazelle or Samba or the Superstar. This week, we have an early look at their latest project with the Samba, coming soon.

BAPE-branded pairs of the Samba have been on our minds for the last week or so. Last week brought us an early look at a FIFA World Cup collection from the two longtime partners, which included a pair of the Samba. Now, two more styles of a BAPE Samba have emerged this week, expected to be the debut of the BAPE-ified version of the silhouette. Their version replaces the shoes lateral wall stripes with the Shooting Star logo, along with A Bathing Ape branding in gold foil. The look also removes the standard toe cap in favor of a rubberized piece, featuring some molded detailing and attached via no-sew construction.

Kobe’s 2007 Nike Kobe 3 “Christmas” PE Releases to the Public this Holiday Season

Nike has been in their PE bag recently, bringing us a ton of heat from their basketball archives previously reserved exclusively for players. This year’s Kobe Bryant’s Christmas day Kobe 3 from 2007 is expected to release to the public during the holiday season.

Nike is preparing for to debut another Protro edition from their archive of Kobe Bryant signature shoes, this time reimagining the Kobe 3. Originally released in 2007, the silhouette was one of the last high-top models Bryant wore before his preference changed to lows, and featured some unique design details at the time. The shoe features a flexible plastic cage element across the upper, providing structure and support while still allowing for hard cuts. Nike has reengineered this portion of the shoe for the Protro update, using more modern materials from the version released nearly twenty years ago.

After leaks early this year regarding the return of the Kobe 3, we finally got an official look from both Nike and Vanessa Bryant in August. The Kobe 3 Protro emerged in a clean “Halo” white edition, which will mark the shoe’s debut. Now, we have an official look at the first public release of a player-exclusive model worn by Kobe in 2007; the Christmas day colorway. Created for a Christmas day game in 2007, the shoe features an icy blue toe and forefoot, before fading to a clean while rear section. The signature cage is applied in a semi-translucent milk shade, with blue tongues and laces underneath.

NIKE KOBE 3 PROTRO “CHRISTMAS” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike has not yet announced the release of their “Christmas” edition Kobe 3 Protro, but pairs are expected to release during the holiday season window later this year. The 2007 style, originally a Christmas day PE for Kobe, will be available through the SNKRS app and select retailers, and is expected to come with a $210 price tag.

Nike SB”s Air Max 95 Emerges in a “Cacao Wow” Color Scheme

The Nike SB team released their debut pair of the Air Max 95 last month, modifying the shoe for a more skate-ready fit and design. Now, new colorways are on the horizon, like this “Cacao Wow” pair slated for Spring 2026 that surfaced this week.

The SB-ification of iconic Nike sneakers is one of the best projects from the Swoosh ion recent years. It started in 2023 when the SB team delivered their version of the Air Jordan 4. The silhouette was identical to the standard version from the exterior, but made small changes to the inner working to make them more appropriate for regular skating. Then, we got word of another remake, this time featuring the Air Max 95. We’ve been hearing about this SB style for months, and they finally released to the public in August with the “Cactus Flower” colorway.

Our latest early look at a pair of Nike SB”s Air Max 95 ditches the colorful pink accents of the debut release in favor of a clean, neutral color palette. Dubbed “Cacao Wow”, this pair features a combination of nubuck and leather layers for the upper, which are cast in the shoe’s classic gradient blocking. The midsole starts in black, and the color fades into brown and then white for the top of the shoe. The chocolatey brown shade makes up the eyelets and Swoosh detailing, with SB branding on the heels and a 3M fleurish to complete the look.

NIKE SB AIR MAX 95 “CACAO WOW” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike SB has not announced their next release of the modified Air Max 95, and this pair in particular is not expected to release until sometime in 2026. Dressing the shoe in a neutral palette of grey and black tones with a “Cacao Wow” accent, pairs will likely be available again through the SNKRS app and skate shops, with a $185 price tag.

adidas Brings “Lime Burst” to the AE2 for Spring 2026

Anthony Edwards and adidas are prepping for the debut of the Timberwolves’ guard’s second signature shoe, the AE2. The silhouette has popped up in a number of new colors in recent weeks, now including a “Lime Burst” pair for Spring 2026.

Fans of Anthony Edwards and his siganture sneaker with adidas, the AE1, have been anxiously awaiting the debut of his second model, the AE2, for quite a while now. AVAILABLE NOW: adidas’ “Triple White” UltraBoost 1.0 Returns for the Shoe’s 10th Anniversary

2025 marks ten years of the adidas UltraBoost. the brand has kept the anniversary celebration fairly low-key, but this week the shoe’s 1.0 “Triple White” colorway has surfaced with some new materials, coming soon for their Fall lineup.

Back in 2015, adidas exploded onto the modern sneaker landscape with their Boost-equipped lineup of sneakers. This was the same year the brand would release the first signature shoes for Kanye West, kicking off a new era of Three Stripes dominance in the world of footwear. Prior to Kanye’s shoes hitting the public, the artist was spotted wearing a pair of the PureBoost, which were mistakenly identified as the UltraBoost 1.0 in Triple White, and the rest is history.

In 2015, adidas released a series of collaborations featuring the immensely popular UltraBoost, with special pairs designed by their range of retail partners, and some internal collaborators as well. James Carnes and Dirk Schönberger, two creative directors within the adi family, lent their taste to an upscale take on the Triple White 1.0 silhouette. This year, for the shoe’s tenth anniversary, they’ve done it again.

The new J&D Collective version of the UltraBoost 1.0 brings some fresh details to the familiar icon. The original Primeknit pattern and material returns for the bulk of the upper, though the mesh around the heel has been swapped for a softer, more fine textile. The original flat leather heel cage has been replaced with a textured version, which features a snakeskin or scale-like pattern. Reflective accents for the stripes and eyelets have been added, and gold foil UltraBoost branding completes the look.

ADIADS ULTRABOOST 1.0 “TRIPLE WHITE” RELEASE INFORMATION

adidas’ anniversary edition of their Triple White UltraBoost 1.0 has not yet been officially announced, but is expected to release soon in Fall 2025. Reworked in collaboration with J&D Collective, a duo of their creative directors, the updated look will likely be available through both adidas and select retailers, and is expected to retain its original $180 price tag.
