Nike continues to roll out new iterations of the Space Hippie collection this year, rehashing the recycled footwear collection in new colorways. This week, we have an early look at a new Space Hippie 01, which arrives in “Ocean Blue” this season.
The Nike Space Hippie 01 has stuck around, remaining as the one survivor of the original four-shoe Space Hippie program, which debuted in 2020. Constructed using a high percentage of recycled materials, from the mashup polyester yarn used in the upper to the Nike Grind rubber midsoles. The Space Hippie 01 has released in a handful of various colorways in its life cycle, but this year, Nike is making some slight changes, upping their use of recycled materials and testing out some new color schemes, like this “Ocean Blue” style we have an early look at today. Featuring a solid white upper and midsole, the namesake blue shade makes up the shoe’s oversized Swooshes and Nike tongue branding.

Nike’s latest colorways of the recycled Space Hippie 01 has been scheduled for release later this month season, though no specific date has been announced yet. The clean “Ocean Blue” look will likely be available from both Nike and select retailers, retaining the usual price tag of $130.
