The P-Rod 1 from Nike SB holds a special place in sneaker history, as the brand’s very first rider signature sneaker. After a special anniversary retro last year, new styles are coming in 2026, including a stealthy “Black Gum” edition.
Paul Rodriguez and Nike SB are still cooking up new releases for their P-Rod 1 retro in 2026. The shoe celebrated its twentieth anniversary last year, delivering a perfect recreation of the original black & white style from 2005. They’ve only released a small assortment of colors since then, including a special pair for NBA All-Star back in February, but P-Rod himself has kept us up to date on their behind-the-scenes process with sneak peaks of two upcoming styles, a “Dodgers” pair, and a “Wheat” look. Today, another new colorway has quietly surfaced in official images from Nike, pointing to an imminent release. This look comes in a jet black suede build, adding mesh Swooshes for breathability. The outsoles are added in a light gum shade to break up the dark color blocking.
NIKE SB P-ROD 1 “BLAK GUM” RELEASE INFORMATION
There is currently no official release date for the next Nike SB P-Rod 1 retro release, though the official images and full SKU information indicate a drop in Spring 2026. This pair pits the entire upper of the shoe in pitch black suede, adding a light Gum outsole for contrast. Pairs will be available through Nike and skate shops for $125.
