In partnership with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, Nike and Kevin Durant will be releasing a special edition of his KD 12, honoring his late Aunt Pearl.
The “Aunt Pearl” line was introduced way back in the KD4 and the tradition looks to continue. Anticipated for quite some time, we finally have an official look at the Nike KD 12 “Aunt Pearl”. The shoe was definitely worth the wait as Nike and KD took their time to create a very special shoe with a lot of meaningful details.
This KD12 arrives with an upper that is painted in multiple shades of pink and features the return of the wing-inspired forefoot strap. White detailing as well as translucent overlays are added in that create a pearl effect while a white Nike Swoosh shines across the midfoot. Velvet then floods the tongue and inner-liner for a lux and angelic feel. A pink and purple midsole then finish off the sentimental design.
