Nike Drafts Another Mixed Material Dunk Low in “Pencil Point” Grey

Nike’s Dunk releases have slowed down after the tsunami of colors we saw from 2020-2024. However, they still have some serious heat coming, including this “Pencil Point” style featuring a delightful mixed-material build.

Nike has scaled back their Dunk releases significantly in response to flooding the market in the early 2020s. The iconic low-top model released in several hundred styles over the course of its revival, and Nike even stated in an earnings call that may have been too many. That means they are spending more time and consideration on the pairs that do make it to market, and this week a new style has emerged that makes the perfect case for attention to detail that the Dunk deserves. The new look features a mixed-material build; canvas base layers, nubuck overlays, suede Swooshes, and a woven hemp tongue. Nike’s new “Pencil Point” grey hue is the star of the show here, adding Mineral Slate blue stitching, Steam green accents, and a white midsole to hold it all together.
