Nike Celebrates Japan’s Culture Day With a White Fur Blazer Low Platform

Nike’s relationship with Japanese culture takes another step forward this week, with the release of the “Culture Day” Blazer Low Platform, available exclusively in Asia as of today.

Every November, the entire country of Japan celebrates the Culture Day national holiday. Falling on November 3rd, the purpose of the celebration is to promote the love of freedom and peace established in the Japanese constitution, as well as celebrating arts, and promoting culture and academic endeavors. This year, Nike has crafted a special release of the Blazer Low Platform in honor of Culture Day, casting the classic low-top court shoe in all-over faux white fur. The Swooshes stand out in black on either side, while the heel counters add a bit of punk style with metal dots. Finally, special printed insoles complete the new look.
