Nike is set to combine a retro silhouette like the Air Tailwind 79 with a flashy new “Aurora Green” colorway.
Last year the Nike Air Tailwind 79 came back in a huge way. With the help of a Stranger Things collaboration and the resurgence of retro-looking sneakers, the hype for the older silhouette grew and grew. Now while production and demand took a hit this year, Nike is still giving fans new colorways every once in a while that deserve some attention.
This new edition features an “Aurora Green” colorway that features a teal mesh upper that covers the paneling while bright blue suede overlays texturize the shape of the silhouette. White then comes into play on the tongue, sockliner, and Nike Swoosh which helps give the eyes a break from the bright design while a white midsole and black rubber outsole complete the new edition.
