Nike’s first wave of releases of the Air Max Sunder finished earlier this month, but there are still plenty more colors releasing through the rest of the year. This week, retailer size? has teased a new style coming soon, dressing the shoe in white with a secondary shade of dark burgundy.
Nike’s first-ever retro release of the Air Max Sunder is finally here, with the first batch of neon colorways dropping over the course of the last month. Originally released in 1999, the runner has become an exciting release over the past year, after a CdG collaboration originally revived the shoe back in 2022, making it a sought-after vintage shoe ever since. Then, during their late 2023 SNKRS Showcase, Nike debuted their new pairs, which have finally arrived just recently. During another Showcase event earlier this Summer, they showed off even more colors, including Gore-Tex styles, for the rest of 2024 and beyond.
While Nike gave us an early look at some new colors for the Sunder this year, others have begun to emerge that we were not displayed during their livestream event. This week, London-based retailer size? posted about the return of the shoe, and showed off a new “White/Burgundy” edition of the model that is expected to release very soon. The shoe’s neoprene base comes in white, while all other pieces of the upper and Nike branding come in the dark red hue.

Nike’s latest colorway of their retro Air Max Sunder has not been given a set release date yet, but is expected to arrive sometime later in 2024. The “White/Burgundy” pair will be available from both Nike and select retailers with its new price tag of $180.
