Nike’s retro reissue of the Air Max 96 II is finally here, answering the calls of many Air Max heads for the return of a beloved model. This week, we have an early look the new “Mystic Teal” colorway, coming soon.
Retro Air Max models are some of the most plentiful in Nike’s arsenal, comprising a fair share of the brand’s archives from the ’80s and ’90s. The Swoosh also has a penchant for returning some of these sneakers to the fold, years after their initial launch due to nostalgia among fans for past styles. This year, the Air Max 96 II is back, celebrating 25 years of the beloved model. With several colorways already available, today we have an early look at a new “Mystic Teal” color scheme set to drop in the coming weeks. Inspired by the original Air Max 93 colorway, this pair begins with a white mesh base layer, followed by a mix of white and black leather overlays. The “Mystic Teal” elements appear on the various Swooshes around the the shoe, as well as the outsole, while several hits of 3M complete the look.

Nike’s latest colorway of the retro Air Max 96 II sneaker has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to launch sometime in the coming weeks. The “Mystic Teal” color scheme will be available from both Nike and select retailers, with the usual price tag of $160.
