Nike’s updated Big Bubble version of their Air Max 95 has opened the doors to a ton of retro releases and new pairs of fan-favorite colors. This week, we got our first look at the 2010s “Blue Spark” pair, releasing in August.
Back in 2020, Nike celebrated twenty-five years of their iconic Air Max 95 running shoe. The silhouette has been a fan favorite since its debut, thanks to its wavy, layered upper that is ripe for unique and detailed color schemes. The model is back in 2025, following in the footsteps of the Air Max 1 by restoring its Air bags to the shoe’s original design, making them bigger to provide more cushioning.
In celebration of this newly revised version, Nike has been reissuing a ton of the model’s iconic colorways in the new style. They started off with the OG “Neon” pair in limited numbers, before moving on to the “Mandarin” orange pair from 2011. This week, another pair from that year has surfaced, in a first look courtesy of Corteiz founder Clint419. The “Blue Spark” style features the shoe’s classic gradient look, starting in white at the top and fading to black at the soles. The lush blue shade takes over the Air bubbles, Swooshes, and lacing loops.
