The Air Max 90 has been celebrating its 30-year-anniversary in 2020, and Nike has been offering up plenty of new and classic styles in its honor. This week, the vintage trainer is back with a new take on the iconic infrared colorway, available now.
The ‘Infrared’ Nike Air Max 90 has been heralded as one of the greatest sneakers of all time and attributed with helping grow the world of sneakers and collecting on a massive scale. With the anniversary of the classic silhouette being celebrated this year, it’s a little surprising that Nike has waited so long to release it (dropping on November 9th). However, in addition to the standard fan-favorite version, another strikingly similar Quickstrike release has surfaced at retailers overseas as well. The new version rebuilds the Air Max 90’s upper entirely from smooth suede, which is embossed to give it a wavy, ripple-effect pattern throughout. From the base to outer overlays, each layer comes in a soft grey tone, while “Bright Crimson” TPU makes up the lace eyelets, Air Max branding, heel counters, and midsole inserts.
