Nike’s 3D-Printed Air Max 1000 in “Oat” Releases in August

Late last year, Nike unveiled their first 3D-printed sneaker model, the Air Max 1000. Created in partnership with Zellerfeld, the current leader in printed footwear, the model will finally get a public release this Summer in the “Oatmeal” color scheme.

3D-printing is not a new concept in the world of sneakers. adidas has been printing midsoles for their Futurecraft line of shoes since 2017, and have recently taken it to a new level with a fully printed ClimaCool silhouette. Another major player in printed footwear is Zellerfeld, a German 3D print house that accepts designs from a wide variety of people and brands, and custom prints shoes for each costumer. Last year, Nike unveiled their first model with Zellerfeld, the Air Max 1000.

After its unveiling in 2024, Nike brought a range of colors for the 1000 to their booth at ComplexCon. Some lucky fans were able to win a chance to buy the shoes in the initial red color scheme, though they were silent about when the shoes would release to the public. Now, that drop appears to be right around the corner, as Nike has gifted sneaker influencer @jcheyenne_ a pair of the “Oatmeal” colorway. Rumored to release this summer, the entire shoe is made from an off-white filament, with a bright orange Air bubble inserted into the heels.
