Nike’s Air Max 1 has been on quite a run for the last few years, returning en masse to the brand’s catalog in 2020, with dozens of releases since. This week, a new women’s-exclusive pair has surfaced, giving the silhouette a range of leather styles and cast in a “Dark Raisin” color scheme.
Nike’s Air Max 1 has returned as a staple of Nike’s releases over the last few years, since the silhouette’s Anniversary edition released in a few colorways in 2020. Since then, the retro runner has donned dozens of interesting new styles and special-edition looks, including some re-releases and rehashes of iconic color schemes. Now, a new women’s-exclusive colorway has surfaced, dressing the shoe in shades of purple for the end of Summer.
The latest pair of the Air Max 1 in women’s sizing appears to be somewhat of a companion to the “Hydrangea” Dunk that surfaced yesterday. Both share the same shade of purple in their color palette, as well as some unique materials across their uppers. The AM1 begins with a white textile base layer, adding panels in increasingly dark shades of purple, the lightest for the mudguard, and the darkest wrapping around the heels. This is paired with a bright gold shaggy suede accent to complete the look.

Nike’s newly women’s version of the Air Max 1 in “Dark Raisin” has not been announced for release yet, but is expected to arrive sometime soon in 2024. Dressed in shades of purple with white and gold, pairs will be available from the brand and select retailers for an anticipated $140.
