Nike debuted their ‘Big Bubble’ Air Max 1 on Air Max Day, reengineering the shoe’s original look. Now, new colorways are beginning to pop up, like this ‘Dark Red’ style releasing this Summer.
The remastered Big Bubble version of Nike’s Air Max 1 finally arrived a few weeks ago, delivering a remastered version of the classic running shoe true to the first Tinker Hatfield design. The style features an expanded air bubble, and a revised fit for more comfort. The release came in the form of the classic red and white look, but it appears Nike has bigger plans for the Air Max 1 ’86, with a wave of other styles popping up over the last week. Today, we got an official look at a ‘Dark Red’ pair, which begins with a white mesh base layer. Rustic brown suede makes up the midfoot and heel sections, while the dark red tone is added to the mudguards and Swooshes.
