New Balance Refreshes the 850AT with its Predecessor’s OG Color Scheme

Last year, New Balance revived the 850, a classic archival sneaker that marked a big change in the brand’s designs. Then in November, the 850AT made its debut, an all-terrain version was revealed, which returned this week in new colorways.

New Balance’s 850 has been a popular piece of their arsenal since its return last year. Since then, the vintage sneaker has evolved, debuting with a new terrain-ready version titled the 850AT. Designed after its predecessor, the 850’s wavy overlays are still present, with some new additions to provide better form and support for trails, along with a Fresh Foam midsole and Vibram outsole. The latest colorway of the adventurous 850AT also calls back to the original, taking on the simple blue, white, and yellow styling of the 850’s original release. The layering is relatively the same, starting with a blue mesh base and white and black leather overlays. Yellow hints are added to the New Balance branding and Vibram outsole to complete the look.
