New Balance’s retro Rainier boot made its first appearance earlier this month, in collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore. Now, the Boston brand is set to release its first in-line colorway, dressed in light brown and teal blue shades.
Several weeks ago, Aimé Leon Dore released their latest project with New Balance, reviving the brand’s ’80s Rainier boot in three fresh colorways for their seasonal release. This marked yet another entry in ALD’s history of reviving old NB silhouettes, which have grown in popularity after their return to retail shelves. Now, New Balance is gearing up to release their own in-line colorways of the Rainier boot in 2023, separate from Teddy Santis and his team. This week, we have an early look at a new brown and blue color scheme. This pair begins with a teal blue canvas base layer, adding lush brown suede overlays to the mudguards, midfoot, and heel sections. The collar section comes in sleek black leather, while accents like metal D-ring eyelets and two-tone laces complete the look.
