With the NBA taking it’s mid-season break for All-Star next weekend, sneaker brands are unveiling their releases for the celebration in Los Angeles. This week, New Balance unveiled their latest basketball offering, the P400, coming soon.
New Balance revived their basketball division in 2019, leading off the return through a partnership with Kawhi Leonard. Leonard appeared at that year’s All-Star Game wearing a brand new basketball sneaker from the Boston brand, kicking off a new era of both lifestyle and performance footwear. This led to NB bringing back some of their archival models from past eras, like the 550, which took over the sneaker world in 2020 as a retro staple. Now, seven years removed from that All-Star debut, New Balance has announced their latest performance model in the lead up to the celebration next week; the P400. The silhouette first appeared during a Junya Watanabe runway show early this week, before a formal unveiling later in the week. The new model combines a mid-cut upper with a dual-density midsole, which encapsulates Fresh Foam X cushioning inside a harder rubber shell. Two colorways have been prepped for the model’s launch, both mainly in black & white with accents in either Team Red or Inkwell blue.

The brand new basketball sneaker from New Balance has been scheduled to release next week, on February 11th, 2026, ahead of the NBA All-Star Weekend. The new model blends decades of running and lifestyle innovation with new technology like Fresh Foam X cushioning, all packed inside a very reasonably priced $130 package. Pairs will debut in the Team Red and Inkwell colors seen here, as well as a triple black pair from both NB and select retailers.
