New Balance’s anniversary celebration of the 992 silhouette is coming to a close with 2020, but luckily, the Boston brand has a few more colorways left before the year is out. This week, the pivotal runner returns in a colorful new look with some unique blocking.
New Balance is not slowing down their 992 releases even for a moment in 2020. With so many colorways and drops already under their belt this year, its a wonder that so many more continue to pop up ahead of their scheduled release. Today, we are taking a look at another new color scheme that hit the internet this week, which updates the 992 with an interesting mix of both color and neutral tones. The “Colorblock” scheme begins with a royal blue mesh base layer, while the supportive mid-layers come in a teal green tone. Then, the mudguard and quarter panel overlays come in grey and cream suede, respectively, while black suede additions to the tongue and heel flatten things out a bit. Pops of yellow are seen on the laces and heel of the midsole, while embroidered New Balance branding completes the look.
NEW BALANCE 992 “COLORBLOCK” RELEASE INFORMATION
New Balance’s latest colorway of the 992 runner has not yet been officially announced for release, though the “Colorblock” scheme launched early from Sak’s Fifth Ave earlier this week, with limited sizes still available. This colorful variation of the 992 is not part of the brand’s MADE series and therefore comes with a price tag of just $175.
