New Balance’s 992 continues its incredible anniversary run this year, adding new colorways to the brand’s offerings on a monthly basis. This week, the 992 has popped up overseas in an eye-catching new “Burgundy” color scheme.
The beloved New Balance 992 is back, and fans of the silhouette are eating up each new release faster than the Boston brand can produce them. Luckily, they have plenty of new colorways in the works for 2020, giving everybody a shot at something they like. This week’s new addition to the long list of colorways finally brings a solid “Burgundy” look to the mix, decorating the silhouette’s largely suede upper in a deep shade of the red-based tone. Other details include grey leather mid-layers, cream white tongues and inner lining, and golden accents for the ‘N’ logo and heel tabs.

The new “Burgundy” colorway of New Balance’s 992 already debuted overseas from retailers like FootDistrict, where they are available in limited sizes. Unfortunately, a stateside release date has yet to be announced but we do expect them to land on the New Balance site in the coming weeks. UPDATE 7/29/21: New Balance’s burgundy & gold iteration of the fan-favorite 992 finally released today, quietly surfacing on the Boston brand’s website with a price tag of $175.
