New Balance’s 991v2 has been an essential piece of the brand’s catalog since its introduction in late 2023. This week, we have a closer look at their “Grounded Pastels” pack of the Made in UK runner, which arrives this Summer.
The 991v2 model from New Balance has been one of their most exciting heritage silhouettes since its introduction nearly two years ago. Building on an iconic original design from 2001, the v2 version keeps the same classic look as its predecessor, adjusting some of the paneling and giving the shape a more sleek, forward-leaning stance. The Boston brand has also kept things fresh with a wide range of unique colors and special collaborations.
This week, full official imagery of an upcoming two-pack of colors has surfaced for the Made in UK 991v2. Dubbed the “Grounded Pastels” pack, the set douses the shoe in two beautiful color schemes in your choice of “Celestial Blue” or “Mineral Green”. The former uses a pale baby blue shade for the suede outer layers, mixing a slightly darker blue for the mesh and breaking it up with grey mid layers. The green pair follows the same format, mixing a bright green outer shell with a darker base layer and grey accents. Both pairs feature cream white laces and black N logos.

New Balance’s upcoming release of their Made in UK 991v2 is currently expected to arrive in June, 2025, though a set date has not been announced yet. Featuring two colorways in the “Grounded Pastels” pack, featuring vivid shades of “Mineral Green” and “Celestial Blue”, pairs will be available from both NB and select retailers for $250 each.
