New Balance is steadily adding new colorways to their revival of the 580, bringing new styles for the silhouette’s return. This week, we got an early look at a new ‘Olive’ green pair, coming soon.
This week has seen a wave of new in-line colorways for New Balance upcoming retro release of the 580 runner. Having kicked off the revival of the shoe with collaborations with Stray Rats and Palace, now the Boston footwear brand is turning their attention to its standard-issue colorways, filling out their lineup with pairs in Natural Indigo and Brown so far. Today, we got our first look at a new ‘Olive’ green color scheme, which begins with a white mesh base layer for the old school runner. The olive suede layers cover the outer portions of the shoe, while mid layers in reflective 3M peek out from the toe box, heel counters, and ‘N’ logos. Cream white accents are found on the midfoot TPU insert, while small hints of yellow complete the look.

New Balance’s impending revival of the retro 580 model has not been officially slated for release, though we are expecting to see them land in-stores later this year. Seen here in an ‘Olive’ color scheme with yellow accents, pairs will be available direct from the Boston brand’s website alongside select retailers for $140. UPDATE 12/5/22: New Balance has announced release dates for their latest colorways of the 580 runner, slated for later this week on December 10th, 2022. The ‘Olive Leaf’ pair with yellow and brown accents will be available via the brand’s Launches page for $130.
