New Balance’s 1890 runner is their latest in a growing range of retro-styled lifestyle models. After making its debut in collaboration with Action Bronson, the model will launch in the bold “Star Burst” yellow colorway later this month.
The 1890 model from New Balance has been teased for over a year now, with the shoe first appearing in it’s moccasin form during Paris Fashion Week in 2025. Since then, we have learned plenty more about the model, which made its debut in January through Action Bronson’s “Cyborg Tears” edition, and quickly followed by a second pair dubbed “Hornet’s Tusk“. Along the way, we had more early looks at the 1890A, the moccasin style upper, before the model’s official global launch this week. The tech runner launched in the bold “Star Burst” yellow style exclusively through the Whitaker Group retailers yesterday, and now New Balance has announced their first wide release for later this month. The two-toned palette is simple for this release, but packs a punch thanks to the silhouette’s jagged series of overlays.
NEW BALANCE 1890 “STAR BURST” RELEASE INFORMATION
New Balance’s next in-line style of the new 1890 runner has been scheduled for a global release on March 26th, 2026. This comes in the wake of The Whitaker Group’s debut of the bright “Star Burst” yellow colorway yesterday, but this next round will be available from both New Balance and select retailers. Pricing is set at $180 for the new silhouette.
