National Geographic and Vans Team Up for a Five-Shoe Collection Decorated with NatGeo Photos

Vans’ special projects are always a treat, and this Summer is no different. This week, Vans unveiled their next large scale project, which gives National Geographic Magazine the opportunity to decorate 5 classic silhouettes with some of their famous photography.

The upcoming project from National Geographic Magazine and Vans is a nature-loving-sneakerheads’ dream come true. Featuring the five all-time -great Vans sneakers, the Era, Authentic, Old Skool, Slip-On, and Sk8-Hi, each shoe takes on a unique photograph or art directly inspired by NatGeo. For example, the fan-favorite Slip-On depicts a printed image of Greenland’s Pine Island Glacier in then and now photographs, while the Old Skool depicts portraits of the Mexican Grey Wolf and the Red-Eyed Tree Frog, along with some basic facts about each animal.
