Reebok’s Club C has been a smash hit in 2019, thanks to the simple vintage look. This week, the British footwear brand is teaming up with advanced apparel label Nanamica for a unique new capsule collection focusing on the 80s trainer.
Japanese brands have been dominant in footwear this year, with the release of dozens of different collaborations from a number of AAA brands. The latest in this line of excellent projects comes from Reebok and apparel label Nanamica. The collaboration focuses on two pairs of the vintage CLub C trainer that’s seen its fair share of the spotlight this year, as well as a small selection of well-curated apparel pieces. Each shoe is constructed from the silhouette’s standard leather upper, with pieces like the mudguard and eyestay swapped for a soft suede in matching colors. The standard nylon tongues have been removed and replaced with navy blue leather, which is then covered by a dual-branded shroud to cover the lacing system. One colorway paints the entirety of the shoe in navy blue, while the second comes in white, with bost resting on top of the Club C’s standard sole in gum rubber.
