Jacquemus and Nike just released their first batch of the Moon Shoe, the first public release of the original Swoosh sneaker since 1972. Already, they have more colorways in the works, including a soft pink look arriving in February.
The Nike Moon Shoe holds a legendary place in sneaker history as one of the brand’s earliest innovations. Created for the 1972 U.S. Olympic Trials, it was designed by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, who famously used a waffle iron to mold its unique traction pattern. Handmade in limited quantities, the Moon Shoe represented Nike’s first major step into performance footwear. Its lightweight build and experimental sole design helped lay the foundation for Nike’s future running technology and global sneaker legacy.
This year, the silhouette got its first ever public release, through the Swoosh’s partnership with French label Jacquemus. The project made its debut this week, arriving in a three-piece batch of simple black, white, and red color schemes. Now, news of another release is already here, similar to past releases from the partnership. Their upcoming release is currently expected to drop in February, and comes in an appropriate soft pink color scheme. The nylon upper and suede overlays come in matching shades, with white trimmings to complete the look.

The next release of the Moon Shoe Jacquemus and Nike has not been given a set release date yet, but is coming soon in February 2026. This time, the archival silhouette will come in a soft pink colorway, releasing from both partners as well as select retailers. The price tag for this shoe is expected to remain at $180.
