Taiwan boutique INVINCIBLE has unveiled their latest collaborative release this week, reuniting with Asics to celebrate the first project from the pair. This time, the GEL-Nimbus 10.1 is the canvas for a rehash of their OG release into a “404 RGB” colorway.
INVINCIBLE released their first collaboration with Asics back in 2015, teaming up to drop a gorgeous grey colorway of the GEL-Lyte III. The shoe centered on a “Formosa” theme, which cast the silhouette in a palette of shaggy grey suedes, with a hint of red and blue wrapping around the heels. Since then, releases from the two have been few and far between, reuniting early this year to release two colorways of the GEL-Nimbus 10.1 for the “HTTP 404” pack.
This week, INVINCIBLE has unveiled a third colorway of the GEL-Nimbus 10.1 from Asics, though this pair is not a part of the HTTP pack from earlier this year. Instead, the new release honors their original GLIII “Formosa” release, borrowing that shoe’s color scheme for the “404 RGB” look. The new pair ditches the heavy use of suede from the OG, replacing it with mesh and synthetic layers, with just a few small suede panels to nod to the 2015 release. Metallic silver and white accents spruce up the look a bit, while asymmetric red and blue heels and tongue tags complete the look.
