Hellstar and adidas took over NBA All-Star Weekend this year, with special releases of the AE2 and their modified Superstar. This week, the latter has surfaced in official images of the “Creamsicle” color, coming soon.
Los Angeles-based brand Hellstar has quickly become one of adidas’ biggest collaborative partners. The label, founded in 2020 by Sean Holland and Joseph Pendleton is known for its eye-catching graphics and bold colors, which they’ve translated incredibly well to their work with adidas. Their version of the Superstar is heavily modified, changing the shoe’s layering and adding a flame cutout to the outer walls of the silhouette. They’ve added plenty of graphics that read like notebook sketches, including flame prints around the sole, “coexist” on the outer toes, and a screaming face on the inner heels. The latest colorway of this Superstar paints the model in a soft “Creamsicle” orange shade, paired with metallic silver stripes and just a hint of neon green.
