FUCKINGAWESOME and adidas are back. After the two released their cloud-like take on the adidas Skateboarding 3ST.002, the two are back at it. This time around, FA will take on the adidas Stan Smith, reworking it in bold colors and brand new construction.
The last time we saw FUCKINGAWESOME working on an adidas shoe, they were helping to debut the 3ST.002, a brand new skate shoe from the Three Stripes. Now, Jason Dill and the FA team are working on an adidas classic: the Stan Smith. First teased a few months ago, we finally have a closer look at the latest from adidas and FUCKINGAWESOME, which sees the classic Stan rebuilt with a modified construction and painted in two eye-catching colorways. First, the leather upper of the shoe has been altered ever so slightly, removing the heel counter that had been featured as an overlay in favor of single-piece construction. New paneling has opened up on the medial sides of the shoe as well, showing new cuts in the leather from the rear angles. The first pair covers the leather upper in a bright orange tone with deep purple accents, while the second FA Stan Smith comes entirely in purple. Both pairs are finished off with FUCKINGAWESOME enamel branding on the lateral sides.
FUCKINGAWESOME X ADIDAS STAN SMITH RELEASE INFORMATION
The latest work from FUCKINGAWESOME and adidas, which paints the Stan Smith in two eye-catching colorways, will first drop via pre-launch on September 14th exclusively in Japan, before arriving at the brand’s Los Angeles store on September 21st. Both the orange and purple colorways will retail for an easy $110, and it is currently unclear if a wider release has been scheduled.
