UPDATE 3/12/26: The Fragment Design x Nike Mind 002 “Particle Grey” will officially release on March 14th at Fragment stores, followed by a global release on March 19th via SNKRS.
Nike and Fragment are gearing up for a big year. The design brand is currently rolling out their new Jordan 1 collab with Union, but founder Hiroshi Fujiwara still found time to tease an upcoming project, the FRGMNT Mind 002, coming soon.
Nike kicked off 2026 with an interesting new release, which straddles the line between performance and casual wear. The Mind line debuted on January 1st, featuring the 001 and 002 silhouettes. The shoes focus on science-backed developments, and the link between underfoot pressure points and your brain. The Mind shoes feature a series of sphere underneath, strategically placed to activate specific neural pathways through stimulation of pressure points, helping athletes “lock in” before the game, and unwind afterwards. Earlier this month, longtime Nike collaborator Hiroshi Fujiwara unveiled his Fragment Design take on the Mind 001 slipper. Now, the Japanese designer has unveiled their version of the second silhouette the 002. Their style dramatically alters the upper of the shoe, swapping out the woven mesh textile in favor of Nike’s famous Flyknit, built with a sock-like construction and dressed in black.
FRAGMENT X NIKE MIND 002 RELEASE INFORMATION
Fragment and Nike’s next collaboration has not been officially announced yet, but the Mind collection is slated to arrive sometime in Spring 2026. Featuring Nike’s new neuroscience-backed shoes, both the Mind 001 and 002 will be apart of the project, the latter of which comes in two colors with Flyknit uppers. Pairs will likely be available from both Nike and select retailers, with pricing slightly higher than the usual $145.

UPDATE 3/10/26: Official photos of the “Particle Grey” Nike Mind 002 for Fragment Design have landed this week, courtesy of SneakerMarket.RO. No release date yet, but this reworked version of the neuroscience shoes are expected soon in Spring/Summer 2026.
