FDMTL is one of the largest denim manufacturers our of Japan, crafting highly unique styles sought after by enthusiasts. This week, they are releasing their latest work with Vans OTW, a new Sashiko pack.
Sashiko-style design has made its way into the world of sneakers a number of times over the last few years, fusing Japanese artistry with the footwear we love. This week, Japanese brand FDMTL, one of their countries greatest denim brands, returns to the fray to deliver yet another remarkable sneaker in collaboration with Vans, this time highlighting the details and uniqueness of Sashiko repair.
The latest FDMTL x Vans project brings two silhouettes to life with a denim-inspired look. The Half-Cab and Old Skool are the canvases for this release, and both pairs come constructed in a engineered knit textile that is made to mimic the look of denim, and of course, Sashiko repair stylings. Both shoes feature a patchwork pattern across the upper, largely in mixed shades of indigo blue, and with the stitching elements in white for high contrast.
FDMTL X VANS OTW “SASHIKO” PACK RELEASE INFORMATION
The latest collaboration from Japanese denim brand FDMTL and Vans’ OTW imprint will release stateside tomorrow, May 30th, 2025. Featuring the Half-Cab and Old Skool in sashiko-inspired knit textiles, pairs will be available from both partners websites, with price tags of $140 and $135, respectively.
