The Converse All Star has been a staple of the footwear industry since its conception. Now, the Chuck 70 combines its historic silhouette with a new-age design and aesthetic.
ComplexCon has seen many exclusive releases throughout its past years; While the drops range from widely available to near-impossible, the latest Converse pack sets out to do both. Combining its historic model with popular trends, the Chuck 70 “UNT1TL3D” nods at DIY designs seen throughout recent years. With ever-evolving trends, Converse capitalizes on the current “custom” scene. Artists have continuously [re]created one of one designs by incorporating DIY elements onto silhouettes like the Converse All Star. Now, the Chuck 70 steps into similar field with their latest pack–as well as their Joshua Vides and Chinatown Market collaboration–set to release at ComplexCon.
The latest iterations of the Chuck 70 arrives in two distinct colorways: a Black and White high-top model. The overall Black model dons a subtle look with accentuated white lettering that reads, “This Is Not A Chuck” while the latter boasts a White upper with contrasted Black lettering. One of the most notable characteristics is the ridged oversized sole that differs from classic All Star looks. The two models complete the look with their cut-out logos seen on the lateral side and a pull-tab on the back.
