Nike SB produces some of the best collaborations under the Swoosh banner, teaming up with skate shops, brands, and artists for their take on an iconic sneaker. This week, we have our first full look at the Bronx Girls Skate Dunk Low, coming holiday 2025.
Established in 2020 during the pandemic, Bronx Girls Skate was founded with the goal of “celebrating and growing women’s skateboarding in The Bronx and beyond”. The collective was founded by two friends, Mel Ramirez and Kava Vasquez, both well established in skate culture of New York City. The group has grown extensively in the last five years, adding plenty of new members and rolling up to skateparks as a sizable crew, one that is known to the locals.
This year, BGS is getting their first skate shoe collaboration, with none other than Nike SB, a team best known for their ability to seek out and elevate individual skaters and groups. Their project, like many, will focus on the SB Dunk Low, bringing that signature BX style to the silhouette. The look features a blacked-out palette for most of the shoe’s layers, adding a pebbled texture that gives the shoe a shimmering appearance. Swooshes come in a reflective white leather, while twill piping has been added to each of the shoe’s panels, featuring a gradient coloring that adds colorful accents in red, orange, and green.
