Kiko Kostainov’s tenure as the Asics SportStyle creative director has brought us a massive assortment of colorful, fun twists on their classic shoes. This week, we have a preview of the next wave of UB10-S GEL-Kayano 20 for SS25, coming soon.
The ASICS GEL-Kayano 20 has had an impressive run over the last year, as the latest retro performance silhouette to be repurposed for their SportStyle category. The silhouette is only eleven years old, and its technical aspects are still decently modern, making the GK20 a perfect all-around sneaker for the modern street style. The shoe has had a range of in-line and collaborative releases, including the UB9-S variant from the Kiko Kostadinov design camp, and its follow up, the UB10-S, which returns in new colors soon.
The new batch of Asics UB10-S GEL-Kayano 20 colorways roll out bright colors and finishes, perfect for the Spring and Summer seasons. Landing in three colorways this May, the Kiko-ified runner mixes bold tones with neutrals in a mix of Asics’ signature synthetic materials blend. First up, the “Indigo” blue pair mixes teal and dark shades with metallic gold and black accents. The “Plum” red look adds striking accents in a safety orange shade, and finally, the “Moss” green style adds brown and black accents over a rich green base layer.
ASICS UB10-2 GEL-KAYANO 20 SS25 RELEASE INFORMATION
Asics has a new wave of colors for the Kiko Kostadinov-designed UB10-S GEL-Kayano 20 on the way this season, currently expected to release on May 2nd, 2025. Featuring three new styles, Indigo blue, Plum red, and Moss green, pairs will be available from both Asics and select retailers, and are expected to retain their $200 price tag.
