Jordan Brand first introduced their “Bloodlines” theme back in 2019, but have yet to issue another silhouette using the idea. This week, the Air Jordan 12 has surfaced in a stealthy new look, finally delivering on the black & red palette.
Black & red is the single most iconic color scheme used by Jordan Brand. Their very first sneaker, the Air Jordan 1, was still very much a Nike shoe when it released in 1985, but the debut “Bred” style became an instant icon. The look has been reused on nearly every single Jordan model release in the past forty years, with retros of the OG still drawing plenty of hype and nostalgia. In fact, this season the AJ1 Low is taking on the “Bred” theme in May, and the new “Bloodlines” Air Jordna 12 will follow just a week later. This take on the 12 returns to a theme introduced on the AJ1 back in 2019, which dressed the shoe in black and white with red trim on each panel. The Jordan 12’s version of this is darker, painting nearly the entire silhouette in black. The shoe’s metallic components; the upper eyelets and midfoot shank, are covered in a metallic red finish to complete the look.

The latest new style of the Air Jordan 12 does not have a release date yet, but is currently expected to arrive on May 23rd, 2026. The “Bloodlines” theme returns for its first release since 2019, dressing the AJ12 in a stealthy black look with metallic red accents. Pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $215.
