Jordan Brand frequently creates player exclusive colorways of models for their on-court athletes, but they go above and beyond when it comes to friends & family. This week, their Board of Greatness members received an ultra limited-edition Air Jordan 1 Low.
The Board of Greatness an exclusive club in the world of sneakers, limited to friends & family of Jordan Brand. The group is made up of athletes, artists, entertainers, and creatives who have helped shape the brand that Jordan has grown into over the last forty years. Jordan frequently outfits their most essential partners with upcoming and exclusive product, with a gift package delivered this week containing early pairs of the Travis Scott x Fragment Air Jordan 1 Low expected to release this Fall. However, that was not the most exciting part of the delivery.
Jordan signature athletes shared some exclusive looks at the product in this season’s gift package, showing off a number of shoes and apparel articles doles out by Jordan Brand. Cam Jordan and Rip Hamilton both gave us a close look at a special pair of the Air Jordan 1 Low given to Board members, showing off one of the most impeccable AJ1 releases we’ve seen in recent years. Dressed in a subtle off-white tone with grey and light blue accents, the look uses several layers of premium leather, and adds new details like extra stitching and metal eyelets. Board of Greatness branding appears on the tongues, and laser etching on the heels denotes that these shoes are limited to just 180 pairs.
This special pair of the Air Jordan 1 Low is reserved for the brand’s Board of Greatness, a small group of athletes and friends of Jordan Brand. Only 180 pairs were produced, each individually numbered and given to those worthy of them. They will never see a public release, and will likely fetch a hefty price tag if they ever reach the resale market.
