The Air Jordan 1 is one of, if not the most iconic shoes to ever be made. The history behind it and the versatile look it provides has racked up quite the fan base. Now two of the most iconic Jordan 1 colorways team up on one silhouette with this “Fearless” iteration.
If you’re a fan of Jordan’s chances are you have heard of the “Chicago” and “UNC” colorways before. The two colorways have been around for a while yet they never go out of style. As funny as it sounds, they are even more hyped today than what they were years past. Both themes shed light on Michael Jordan’s basketball career at UNC and with the Chicago Bulls, so the story behind them even backs up the hype.
This “Fearless” iteration is as special as they come as well since it is dedicated to Jordans’ Legendary Hall of Fame Induction Speech in 2009. The patent leather upper is divided into two as “UNC” and “Chicago” share the canvas. A white underlay sees bright contrasting overlays of University Blue and University Red that allow a black Nike Swoosh to shine on the midfoot. Finishing off the design is a white midsole and red outsole and a quote from his Speech on the insoles, “Limits, like fear, are often just an illusion”.
