Despite the delay of the 2020 Summer Olympics until 2021, sneaker brands are seemingly still ready to release their usual slew of themed footwear. This week, adidas’ Australian branch unveiled an “Olympic” colorway of the ZX 8000, scheduled to drop tomorrow.
With most of the under some form of “lockdown” due to the ongoing pandemic, pretty much everything for the rest of 2020 has been canceled, including the Olympic Games in Japan. Despite this, many of the Olympic-themed projects from brands are still releasing. This week, we have an early look at some of adidas’ upcoming offerings, thanks to the Australian release calendar. First up is the ZX 8000, which features an all-white build across the mesh and leather upper, accented by black and red stripes and gold foil tucked into the toebox. More gold foil can be found wrapping around the heel, while a torch logo on the tongue completes the look.
