Tyshawn Jones’ hard work has paid off. Coming off of being named the 2018 Skater of The Year, he now has teamed up with adidas Skateboarding for his own signature shoe. The skateboarding shoe looks like none other and you can tell that Jone’s and the team over at adidas wanted to make it his own and allow his personality to shine through. Jones had a few words about the sneaker saying, ” Since I was a young kid, I’ve always wanted this, and it’s crazy to really create something from top to bottom that is true to me. I’m proud of it. Scott Johnson is a legend and working with him was super important because he understands skating – he isn’t just a shoe designer. He saw what I wanted and exactly where I was coming from.”
The sneaker mixes in Jones’ own personal love for basketball shoes as it takes the on-court aesthetic and combines it with design aspects that deliver skateboarding durability and performance. Not only will the shoe look great onboard and withstand the demanding performance of skating, but it will also look just as good as everyday kicks.
The upper comes dressed in a fresh white leather that features Three Stripes branding in snakeskin perforations that add a little flare. “TYSHAWN” is also etched in underneath the collar as a nod to the skater. Finishing off the look a gold adidas trefoil logo can be found on the tongue that adds a luxurious look. Furthermore, the aspects of the shoe should also be known as well. Coming equipped with an EVA midsole, Adituff abrasion resistant and inner vulc-wrap, it comes ready to take on the toughest of skaters and provide durability and performance. Also, comfort wise, it features a PU molded sock liner and a memory foam tongue that provides flexibility and comfort.
