The adidas Response TR trail running shoe was a hit when it first premiered back in 2017. Since then, the silhouette has all but disappeared from adidas’ arsenal. This week, however, the Response TR STMT returns as the main feature of the “Shoe Stories” pack.
adidas’ brand is broken down into several main divisions or product lines, each with its own specific purpose. The main ones are Performance, which consists of every sport adidas covers, Originals, the lifestyle division, and Terrex, the outdoor team. Terrex is an interesting one- it operates much like its own brand, with some of its own silhouettes and technologies, but it is still heavily intertwined with the Three Stripe’s main projects. From time to time, adidas Performance will borrow elements from the Terrex division, like this month’s “Shoe Stories” pack that highlights the Response TR STMT – usually a Terrex sneaker. However, all Terrex branding has been removed for this release, and the Response TR has been elevated to a premium version through luxurious materials and clean colorways. This is likely due to adidas Running looking to highlight the silhouette, which has been an excellent choice for trail running in recent years.

adidas Performance’s upcoming “Shoe Stories” pack, highlighting the Response TR STMT, has been scheduled to release today, on August 21st, 2020. The luxurious new colorways of the Response trail runner are currently available from overseas retailers like 43Einhalb, with a wider release expected in the coming weeks.
