The adidas Forum continues to arrive in new styles and colorways as the retro silhouette continues to cement its legacy as an all-time silhouette. This week, we have an early look at a new “Multi-Color” look, coming soon.
The adidas Forum basketball shoe first debuted in 1984, replacing the Top Ten as the Three Stripes’ premier basketball shoe. Priced at $100, a nearly unthinkable high for the time, the Forum quickly became the standard for all-leather basketball shoes, thanks to its availability in both low and high formats. Now, the Forum is a piece of history, celebrated as a stepping stone in basketball footwear technology as well as a major influence on adidas design for decades to come.
These days, the classic Forum has been revived, reinvigorated by the Three Stripes thanks to fresh, exciting colorways and a faithful recreation of the shoe’s original high level of quality. This week, we have an early look at another upcoming Forum ’84 High, this time casting the silhouette in a palette of pastel tones. The look begins with a heather white, twill-looking textile for the base layer, with some basic overlays constructed from plain white leather. The forefoot is split between a black mudguard and brick red toe box, while the heel’s central support panel appears in a faded green suede. Finally, gold foil adidas branding completes this fresh look.
ADIDAS FORUM 84 HIGH “MULTI-COLOR” RELEASE INFORMATION
adidas Originals’ patchwork “Multi-Color” iteration of the Forum ’84 High has yet to be scheduled for a release, but we expect a drop to go down sometime early in 2022. The subtle color palette will release from both adidas and select retailers, with the usual price tag of $130.
