adidas’ retro technologies have made a huge return in 2019, helping to fuel some of the brand’s new releases along the way. This week, we have word that another retro is on the way, this time in the form of 1998’s EQT Solution running shoe.
The adidas retros are continuing into 2020. After the brand introduced a series of releases paying homage to their retro tech, we’ve seen an unprecedented run of vintage adidas gems, from the FYW 97 runner to the Torsion Comp. Now, adidas is readying to re-release the EQT Solution from 1998, which debuted on the tail end of the brand’s Feet You Wear franchise, one of the last running shoes to feature the technology. The EQT Solution was slightly ahead of its time in the 90s, thanks to heavily-layered design that emphasized curves and natural motion. The shoes Three Stripes are represented by three oversized rubber inserts attached to the midsole, reinforcing the rear section of the shoe. The latest adidas retro release will first arrive in a striking metallic gold color scheme, accented by red and blue hits in the midfoot.
ADIDAS EQT SOLUTION 98 RELEASE INFORMATION
The adidas EQT Solution will be making its return for the first time since 1998 sometime in 2020, though a specific date has not yet been announced. The Feet You Wear-equipped sneakers will likely release at a slightly elevated price point, and will be available through adidas and select Three Stripes retailers, similar to previous retro FYW releases.
